I am in the process of changeing lower seals due to water in my lower unit? I replaced the impeller and adjusted the choke. Fired it up and let it run for about 10 min or so everything seemed ok. Except alot of oil in the barrel so i pulled the motor cracked the drain screw. And the lube came out milky? I was told that i need to replace the washer in the prop area. So i figured on just replaceing all the lower seals while i was at it. Do you think this is a good idea? Is there a sight that would give me a pictorial view on replaceing the seals if i need to?

Get a manual.

Are you sure it's a seal, and not just a filler plug gasket?

I'd do a pressure check on the lower unit to see if you can identify the problem. That's a split case unit if I'm not mistaken and it will take a bit to replace all the seals--not a huge deal, perhaps, but big enough that you don't want to do it unless you need to.

Yes, it is a split casing. I also agree that replacement of the filler and vent plug gaskets should be the first step.
