Hi, i just want to make sure i have the good plug for this engine my book said L76V so the dealer dont have Champion plug he give me NGK BUHW so my question thats not the first time i change that plug but this NGK plug dont have the litle bar on the electrod this is meen i never used the good one or they change the plug?<br /><br />Thanks you!

They didn't make the 85 hp in 1969.What is the engines model number?

Surface gaps are better for sustained high speed. Conventional L77JC4s are better for all-around operation. Either would be appropriate for a thru-prop exhaust 85.

Well shut my mouth.I'm sorry.My plug source didn't list 69' 85 hp engine.Not sure about the specific plug it calls for still looking.Someone else may pipe in that knows for sure.

With the NGK BUHW, does the timming adjuste is differente??

No NGK's in a carb'd OMC. Merc and Yamaha, yes. Not OMC.<br /><br />Keep in mind that pistons may be a bit difficult to find for that motor.
