The engine pushes the boat (16 ft, aluminum Bass Boat at 26 MPH, 4000 RPM).

The Model No. is J40E1 CEC SN G02338686.

It will reach 30 MPH at 4200-4300 RPM but bogs down, but runs nicely at 4000 RPM per above.

It will not idle more than approximately 20-30 seconds.

I can depress the Electric Primer on the Remote Control and it will keep idling.(approx 1000 RPM)

I can put the Manual Primer Valve to the Manual position and it will keep idling (approx. 1000 RPM)

I havce disconnected the VRO and capped the oil inlet and am pre-mixing 87 octane Unleaded Gasoline atthe Ratio of 50::1 with Pennzoil Premium 2-cycle engine oil.

I have the SELOC Manual but can find no Carberator that fits what is installed on my Engine.

It is close to a Type IV, has Fixed Low and High Speed Orfices and a Needle Valve which I'm assuming is for the Intermediate Speed.

Any advice or suggestions you may have will be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

Gerry Smith

Gerry.... You have described a fouled carburetor to a "T". Time to remove, clean, and rebuild the carburetor.
