I am trying to wire in a new power pack to my 1998 130 Johnson. The Clymer?s manual is no help.

Wire color-to wire color makes sense but I could use some assurance.

The white/black wire goes where, what end point? According to Clymer ?unless my old eyes are going south- shows the white/black wire going to the black/yellow wire in the harness.

The black/yellow wire goes where? Clymer has it going to the blocking diode.

The tan wire goes where? Clymer has it going to the temperture/quickstart switch.

If someone could point me to a source, pref. free, for a correct diagram I would be very grateful.

Also the white/black wire coming out of my quickstart/temperature switch broke off. I doubt it, but is it repairable?

I do not have my service manual in front of me, and I do not want to give bad information. Here is some things from memory. Your caution is encouraged.

The tan wire is temp sensor. I had thought it went to the diode that connected the two head sensors together with the SLOW system and the System Check wire.

Black/yellow is ign killer. It should be the same color all the way to the ign switch.

You can get around the Quickstart temp sender wire, by advancing the throttle a bit when cold starting it.

The enrichener solenoid has a black/trace color wire, I believe. I forget the color of the trace, however, it might be white.

The System Check Sensor wires are all Tan with a trace of different colors.

You might also check the Power trim sender for some of the missing color codes you have.

You know, if you plan to do some work on the motor, it might be wise to get an OEM manual.

OK, I have my Service Manual.

One White/black wire goes between the stator and powerpack. The other comes from the port head temp sensor to the powerpack.

The three tan wires (one from each temp sensor plus powerpack wire) are connected on the powerpack side of the diode.

Black/yellow runs from the powerpack to the wiring harness. It is the ign kill wire. No change in color.
