Johnson 225 Ocean Runner System Check

The lights on my System Check are working however, the horn does not sound. Any suggestions?

On my '98 Johnny, the horn is a seperate device from the System Check Tach. Perhaps yours is burned out.

Thanks Chris. It is a separate device. It has two wires leading to it. I suspect the system check sends power to the horn device to make it audible. I wonder if the power to the horn is 12 volts. Maybe I can check for power to the horn at start up and see if I'm getting power to the horn during the system check. What do you think?

You can jumper wire 12V to the horn to see if it works. The purple wire is positive. If the horn works, then you have a bad gauge.
