Hello everyone. I'am normally in the mercruiser section of this forum, but now I might be in this section. I am currently looking at a 26 foot mako with a 225 johnson ocean runner motor Im not sure of the year though. It is a family friends boat and he has since past away in 2006. The boat has been in the water since then but is in great shape. Boat is solid as a rock , but they are telling me the motor ran two years ago. Also there could be a shifting problem. Well I went to see it last night and eveything is beautiful execpt the lower unit has been in the water for two years. and I see a small oil slick coming from it. What is a good website to find parts for this motor and stuff? Is this a good motor. And If someone knows some technical specs about it. Thanks.
