My motor won't keep running on it's own unless I keep
squeezing the primar ball can anyone help a rookie
who loves to fish?

Where are we?? We're at New Fuel Pump Time....as long as the fuel line and tank fittings are not leaking or loosing vacuum.

I'll try the lines and fitting's first then move to the fuel pump. Again I appreciate it.

Again the usual request...year and model.
If you have twin fuel hose from the tank it is a different diagnostic than a single line.
