Hello everyone!

I've got a 1977 Johnson 25hp longshaft over here.

It runs pretty good on both cilinders and in it's neutral it maken lots of rpm's, but when I shift in forward, it isn't running faster than about 50%.

Anyone has any idea how to solve this??

Lots of things can cause that, KB.

Get a Service Manual.

Check compression. Check spark. Check the reed valves. Do a "link 'n' synch" to get the carburetor and the ignition timing working together correctly.

Let us know what you find, and good luck. :)

I'm going to get a service manual and check all the things you told me. Maybe i'll find the problem(s).

Thanks a lot.
