Johnson 4 h.p.

I have a 4 h.p. Johnson 2 cylinder, 2 stroke. It use to run but when i tried to start it this year i found that there was water (or something thats not gas) was in cylinder 1. After i checked that i checked the spark and cylinder 2 sparks awsome but cylinder 1 does not. Can someone tell me what it could be or somewhere to find out whats wrong with it. Also it pulls super hard.

first I would do a compression test if its not gas might need a head gasket? also are you sure its not water in the gas tank?

See my reply to your post in Outboard non-repair, custom. Your "Johnson" is a 1971 Evinrude.<br /><br />There are 2 magnetos. One of them is not working.<br /><br />You need a Repair Manual.<br /><br />Good luck.
