Had a 1999 Johnson 70 4 stroke come in, need to do a diagnostic of the engine.
Tried using command prompt with the software in DOS, will not open Com 1 or 2. (Older XP machine)
After fooling with it for a while tried using it in DosBox a program that emulates the old DOS environment and plays most games from the day.
Loads but will not communicate between the ECM and the computer.
Then I grab an old 386 that I used to use with the old Ficht program, where the Ficht program ran fine and it won't run the 4 stroke software.
Does anyone have any ideas how I can run the diagnostic software for the 4 strokes??? What are you guys still fooling with the 4 strokes doing?
