I recently purchased a 1992 Johnson 40 HP VRO with a Tracker Pro Series Control. As soon as I attach the battery the buzzer has a constant buzz. I have the oil attached and the main harness. There is plug on the engine for a Tach which is not attached. Also there is a red wire that comes form the controller that is cut. From all the wiring diagrams it says it for accessories.I guy I purchased the engine from said he did not cut anything from the harness but the wire is cut. Any idea waht would make the alarm sound?

I went out the garage to try a few thing. I connected the red accessory wire and still did not make a difference. I unplugged the Temp switch and Oil tank but still the alarms sounds. So the only thing that is not plugged in from the control is a plug with Purple, Grey, Black and on the engine a connector with Purple, Grey, Black, Tan. The Alarm still sounds as soon as I attach the battery. It kinds of a Whirly sounding alarm.
