Johnson 5 HP settings

We have gotten great help from you guys out there. Can someone tell me the initial settings for the carburator? The rich and lean settings on the needle jet? Our poor old motor runs just a few seconds and then quits. We put in a new coil like the forum suggested and now it at least has spark and wants to run. We are almost there.<br />Thank you.

There is a few things to read and understand. It is easier for everyone if we follow the instructions on top of this page ("Please also read Suggestions for new posters"). Sure, we can click on "Profile for..." and "View recent posts" and look for information there. But that is not the way to do it. Give us all relevant info and keep it in the same thread. There is a lot of people "working" here. The next shift wants to know how far we got. Easy if we keep it all in one place. <br /><br />Mr Jonas lost interest? Mrs Jonas might check back.
