I was just wondering has anyone had their trim tilt assembly leak fluid out of a hole in one of the check valve plugs. I have 2 of the same motors and both of them somehow (I am thinking corrosion) formed a little hole in the plug leaked all the fluid out and now I can't get the plug out to replace it. (Already broke the end of a screwdriver off trying) Any suggestions let my know.

Use a hand held impact screwdriver, available just about anywhere. They usually come in a kit with various tips. That tool will remove and reinstall the valves.

Thanks, I am going to get one of those and try that on the plug.

I tried the impact driver but it just strips out the slotted screwdriver head. Any more ideas?

Is the head still serviceable, or is it all stripped out? If you can still get the impact driver to bite, try a generous dose of the blue wrench (aka propane torch) prior to the impact driver.

If that still doesn't work you're sorta stuck with a drill and an e-z out.
