ok so last week as i was leaving the harbor the johnson started becoming less responsive and losing power fast... we shut down and tried a spot.. i checked the gas and noticed alot of gas was being consumed.....
started up and decided to head back in before i was carried to far out to sea.....
on the way in she seemed weird so i open the inspection door thingy and it smelled like **** and was smokin alot so i killed her....
i got back into marina with my litttle 4hp kicker thank god she runs good.....
now when i got home i parked it and decided to mess with it later... well today to my surprise as i moved her out to inspect..... i found a big puddle of oil right under the prop..... and alot of fresh wet oil ON the prop..... wtf?
i dont know alot about outboard motors to begin with, any help indentifying the prob before i go digging would be so much appreciated! thank you very much
