Johnson 6hp Motor Value

Anyone know what a mid to early 90's 6hp 2-stroke Johnson sea horse should be worth? Mine is in good running condition, no scratches, dents, etc and someone offered me $ for it. What should this motor be worth? I have nosolid clue.

$400-500 would be my guess if it's in good running condition. I paid $400 for an excellent '89 Evinrude 4HP deluxe a few years ago. That's also the price I'd set based on what I've seen on CL around my area.

Where are you located? That will be a major determining factor. My father in law lives in central Utah, and everything for boating is 20-30% higher than it is in Houston, TX. Reason, good 'ol economics 101; supply and demand. Here is Houston, I would say ask $550-$600, take no less than $450
