there's a prop already on the outboard if i can get the serial number of it where is the number located on props guys?

OMC/BRP would most often put the Diameter and Pitch, as well as the part number, on the end of the hub beneath the washer that's between the prop and the prop nut. Other makes may put the part number followed by the Pitch on the outside of the hub. Take the prop off and give it a good look over
