JOHNSON 88 SPL (LOWER UNIT)

CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW TO DROP THE LOWER UNIT SO I CAN CHANGE THE SEALS AND WATER PUMP. I TOOK OUT ALL THE BOLTS AND IT DROPPED DOWN ABOUT AN INCH AND STOPPED AND HUNG UP AND I CAN'T GET TO COMPLETLY SEPERATE.

Did you also disconnect the shift linkage? It's under the carbs.

Yeah, that's it. It'll be a SS rod with an angled flat surface on top connected to the shift lever.
