Johnson 9.5 runs backwords

Hi. I'm asking for my brother, Who jest gut an older Johnson 9.5 rebilt. he had to get a prop for it. It ran nice in 55gl drum.this weekend put it in the river started it up put it in drive and the boat ran backwords? put it in revorce it ran forword but at reduce rpm's. like it was backing up.<br /> Help<br /> Sam for Brother Fred

MY BEST GUESS IS THAT THE TIMMING IS 180* OUT OF SYNC. BELIEVE IT OR NOT THERE WAS A SNOWMOBILE A FEW YEARS AGO THAT HAD A SWITCH TO REVEARSE THE TIMMING LIKE THAT TO BACK THE SLED UP
