marineengine.com...your engine..exhaust housing...part #80...if you can work from the parts diagram you'll see what has to come apart

Thanks very much

Great it looks like item #53 is the shaft which is seized on my engine and the rest looks simple enough

Cheers

Hi AITn

Is there any special way to remove the bush #81 on the drawing, I have removed the, Gear pin & Gear, circlip and washer and the complete tiller handle,

I managed to get a pair of vice grips on the bush and turn it slightly trying to ease it out without breaking it, but it is stuck fast I assume from the shape if has to come out through the front?

When i twist the bush the shaft turns the other gears inside which control the throttle, i gues it is bush #81 which is seized stopping the throttle from turning.

I Think i have it sorted now

I applied intermittent heat to the housing around #81 and was able to twist and pull it slowly out.

The numbers u listed were still in but now i should be able to get them out with a little intermittent heat and some lube on the other bush #52.

k..good deal..though they have 2 small "bumps" and 2 notches to fit into, I'd go ahead and put a witness mark on gears #52 and #109 before you take them off the shafts, it might take some of the "frustration" out of realigning them during reassembly
