Johnson 9.9 HP Fuel Consumption?

I've never used my outboard more then an hour or so at a time so it's really hard for me to guess how much fuel I'm using. Doesn't seem to be much.

I'm planning a possible multiple day trip and I'm trying to figure out how much fuel I'll need to bring as there are no refueling options.

Anyone know fuel consumption numbers for a 1974 Johnson 9.9 hp? Or have a guess? Full throttle, half throttle, idle... I did some google searching and didn't come up with much.

About a gallon/hr @ WOT, less at other power settings.

I have a 74 Evin 9.9 I did quite a bit of trolling and a few WOT runs and I drank a 3 gallon tank in about 3 days. But they are thirsty I know next years trip I will take my jerry can,as my buddy with a Johnny 6 was also very low in fuel.

I get about 16 mpg . It's 4 miles up the lake, 4 miles back, and in two round trips I use a gallon. This has gotten better with the new power head( used but low hours) as I have not had to re-fill the six gallon tank yet this year, usually by this time I'm on my 2nd tank. You can troll all day at low speeds.

BTW, I have a carb off the same year (1975) 15 HP on this engine. Maybe the 9.9 carb would give even more economy.
