I need to remove the bearing housing assembly to get to the o-ring that is behind it i found out that it is leaking from behind the housing.. I can see the 4 bolts in the bottom of the housing and i have removed them. My question is can i just use a 2 jaw pulley puller to remove the housing or will i need to get 2 long pieces of all thread and attach them into 2 of the holes i removed the bolts from and then use a flywhell puller to remove the housing. I plan on replacing the 2 oil seals in the prop shaft while i have it removed so.

???----You can not pull this out by using 2 bolts in those 4 holes !!!!----You use 2 pieces of 5/16" threaded rod to pull bearing carrier out !

Thank you. I got it removed pretty easy with a bearing puller. Came right out. How hard is it to replace the 2 neddle bearings in the housing. I have a biind hole puller i can use to remove them. I bought a reseal kit and am planning on replacing all seals and o rings bit didnt know if the neddle bearings for the prop shaft where a pain or not. They look ok and spin freely just thought while i habe the housing apart wouldnt hurt to replace them.

If you heat the bearing housing the bearings might fall out.-----Or be easy to push out with say a socket.
