johnson control wiring

I have a 1990 90hp johnson....the boat is a 1978 starcraft so I think the controls are from around that year too....anyway my question is....what are the three wires coming from the jack below the key switch for?

The Three Pronged Connector

   Keyswitch Side (Inside Your Control Box)
       (|)

        b
     a    c
     
A = Purple - connects to warning horn
B = Gray - Connects Back To Large Red Connector @ Engine Overheat System
C = Black - Connected To Ground


Connector Side (Wires Going To Engine)
        b
     a    c

A = Tan - Connects To Overheat Sensors On Engine
B = Black - Ground
C = Gray - Connects To Regulator On Engine
