JB:
Jerky sounds great right about now. I ran out two weeks ago. I smoke my own venison but have never tried mesquite, I always use a hickory/apple mix of wood! I wonder if a drop or two of that synthetic oil on the door of my smoker would stop the squeek!
Stalker

Hey Lubedude, would my '94 200 Oceanrunner smoke less if I premixed. It smokes like a Sherman tank as is. I have been running the Penzoil, injected.

OMCeed, I "think" that's fairly normal (smoke) for the big V6's.......and your VRO pump is 50:1 all the time, I believe.

So what does the V in VRO stand for? I thought it was Variable.

That was the original intent of the design, yes.
The later "VRO" pumps produced 50:1 at all RPM range.

Yeah they are actually called OMS ( Oil Metering Sytem) pumps now. I think they actually go a little bit leaner at idle, I think, not sure, they may be 75:1 at idle and 50:1 anything above that. Although my 200's smoke like tanks at idle so I'm not sure that is true.

OMCeed:

I wouldnt disconnect your oil injection if it is working properly, From what I see here on the Forum those engines seem to smoke quite a bit! The only thing I can suggest is to use a full Synthetic injector oil!
