I need to replace the rectifier on my '94 Johnson 150 Fast Strike (model J150GLERA). From what I can tell, I don't need to remove the flywheel as some have said. I'd appreciate it if anyone could tell me what I need to torque the rectifier bolts to once I replace the part.
I wasn't too concerned about my tach not working and replacing the rectifier until I heard that a deficient one could start a fire. Anybody ever heard of this happening?
