Hi everyone I just bought a 76 Johnson 200hp with less than 50 hrs. from the original owner. It came minus the prop and the person I bought it from can't remember what pitch it was. I used a prop calculator to come up with a pop pitch to start form but one of the items needed is gear ratio. I called my local dealer and he was unable to help, did offer to tear down the lower and let me know so no help there. checked Clymers and Sealok books but again no help. Does anyone know what the stock gear ratio was on these engines?
