Johnson Hustler 70 project

hi, i have an extra johnson 70 hustler with a bad water pump. i dont feel like spending the money on a pump because i wont be using it as i have a new motor on my boat. i was wondering, if i dropped the lower unit and made my own cooling system (radiator probably) could i, using a golf cart differential or something like a geo metro transaxle, build an atv or go cart of sorts?

i know youre laughing right now but i wanted a project

lol, dude a water pump is so cheap. buy one, fix it, sell it, and fund a real project.

hey you know those...whatever you call 'em, you know, some engines have 'em...

you know, the device that circulates water through the radiator and cylinder head...you'll need one a those.....

How much is your time worth? You could spend a month of weekends jury rigging a pump that may or may not end up working reliably, or you can spend a morning redoing the waterpump properly and spend the rest of the month of weekends on the water...
