Could some one tell me the year of this motor?<br /><br />It is a 5hp johnson the number on the inside of the cover is 171115.

That looks like a serial number. We would need the model number to confirm the year. Look on the transom (Motor Bracket) for any other number/ letter combinations. Failing that, look on the engine for a freeze plug looking disk and see if it's their..<br /><br /> web page
