Johnson lower unit help

Please help I have been looking for months now for a lower unit that will work on my johnson J140tlens. I have pulled two evinrude lower units with driveshaft being an inch too short. I just found another that seems like the driveshaft model number is the same. Im hoping someone will know if it will work. The motor is model number e90tlets please help thanks

Both engines show as 1993, so I know of no reason it shouldn't fit as they should be the exact same lower unit. Of course you could just be buying a another pile of junk

Yes it’s definitely a 1992.

One of the issues I have been having with the evinrude is they all have a 1” shorter driveshaft

I forgot about the Damn Loopers, I was thinking 99.6 block

Well there are some V-4 motors ( 60 degree loopers ) that are different.----Johnson / Evinrude parts are the same.----Your statement that " all Evinrudes are 1" shorter " is just nonsense to me.------Time to talk to a shop that is willing to help you find a lower unit !!
