A very often asked question. The trailing letter signifies any mid-year changes that were made-----IF any changes were made. Otherwise it means nothing. The parts book will reveal the changes, if there were any.

Nothing really.------MQ10 was the first year of production in 1964.----Yours is a 67 model.----The B might indicate a minor mid year change if there was one.-----Best to ignore the B at this time.------How is your motor running ?

I rebuilt the carb and it runs great except no water so I am about to rebuild the lower gear case and water impeller. I was trying to get a gasket set and there were two different sets in the parts section.

One thing I have had trouble with over the years is the fuel nipple. I have a drip there and I have changed fuel connectors till I am tired. They go on fine but will back off about an 1/8" and drip. Any ideas?

OK, as it turns out, the "B" signifies a mid-year change was made in the prop shaft seal. I don't have the oem parts list, so I don't know if B means the one before or after the change.
