I have two 1995 Johnson 150's, one counter rotating.

The model number of the regular engine is a J150NXEOM
The model of the other is corroding inside the label and I'm afraid one day it will be completely unreadable. Currently I can make out J150---OM any guesses on the middle letters for my backup hardcopies???

Many thanks,

Richard

I think you've got it backwards. The N in J150NXEOM means counter rotating. A good number for the other engine would be J150EXEOM.

Depends on the set up and hull configuration. Is it a straight V bottom, pad & step V or a tunnel? Are the engines transom mounted or on a bracket?

1996 Wellcraft Coastal 238 V hull trasnsom mounted but it's formed into the hull like a bracket with integrated swim platform.

I just checked the numbers on them (again) the counter rotating engine is on the port side.

I didnt realize it was so "technical" I'd always assumed one side was standard.

Thanks
