Johnson Motor, no water outflow

Hello,

I recently purchased a new (used) boat. The motor runs, however, it does not seem to "pee". The information for the motor is:

Model No: J30ELEIC
Series No: G 02995651

What are the possible problems with this motor, along with the possible solutions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It actually isn't fixed. I was at work when my dad told me that he fixed it. Turned out, he didn't and he was just mistaken. Still looking into what is causing it.

Try running a piece of weedeater line up the pee hole as far as you can; insects like to plug up that hose. Let us know if that works Good luck

That didn't work. A local motor tech came and opened up the bottom end and it turned out the water pump was toast. I'll have it back within a couple days and come back with (hopefully) good news!

Hope you know him or he's honest--I've had a couple that stopped peein because the line was stopped up- Took a air hose & blew it out & it was fine :facepalm:

The pump was definitely done, he showed it to me. The impeller was all chewed up. However, I have another question. Is water supposed to be coming out of the exhaust cover on the motor, or just out of the "pee hole"? Water comes out of the "pee hole", the exhaust cover, and a bit out of the back of the motor. Is this normal?
