Johnson outboard Controls

I have a quick question, I have a 72 johnson 100 I just got and I am asuming that the controls are of the same year. I noticed on the controls that there is no emergency cut off switch no where on the box on the outside of the control box. Was there one put on during this time fame, or is there one internal connected to the key or something.

Some of the older controls did not have a Lanyard switch on them.

you have to splice into the black yellow wire, and black wire. these ground the power pack to kill the motor.
