Johnson Seahorse 18. Where are the #'s?

Hi. I have an oldder Johnson Seahorse 18. Where would I find the mod. # as well as the serial #? Haven't opened it up yet. And will the #'s tell me the yr it was made etc? Like a car engine? Thanks, Dan

Welcome to iboats.

Pop off the hood and there should be a nickel size plug on the engine somewhere that has the serial and model number on it, also chekc both sides of the mount, alot of times the plate just gets painted over and is hard to see.

Value depends on age and condition, don't know either so can't say.
