Johnson Stinger

Can anybody send me or direct me to some close up pics of the later model Stingers. I am going to repaint one this weekend and was first just going to use the colors and customize the lettering with an airbrush. Now I think I would like to put it back to factory. And if anybody knows the fonts that would be very helpful when I go to cut decals.

Have you checked the dealer to see if they have any brouchers from those year? The only thing I could find was a 1977 75hp Johnson Stinger.

That would be a Johnson Stinger. Need to know the year to know what it originally looked like. The first ones were bright orange with black accents, from the mid 1970s. By the late 1970s they were white with orange and black accents. My 1980 has a checkered flag decal on it. I believe 1980 or 1981 was the last year for the Stinger model. They then just called it the 75...

Ya sorry it is a 1976 Johnson and everything under the cowling is orange. That is where I keep getting confussed because it has an Evinrude decal on the cowling and the cowling has been repainted so I have no idea what it looked like.
