i have a 15 horse johnson can i run it wide open in water barrel with no propeller on it ? am trying to figure out a way to test without loosing a lot of water so i figured maybe no propeller ??
No.no..no.NO! It will fly apart and might kill somebody. You have to have a load on engine any time above about 1100 rpm.<br /><br />You can use a test wheel if you can find one. Otherwise leave it on trailer and back it into water and then run at WOT. <br /><br />But NEVER without a prop load on engine.<br /><br />Good Luck!
