I have a 1978 Johnson 70hp (model #70EL78C) from my old bass boat. I just put it on a 17' Stingray bowrider. The control cables from the bass boat numbers are 377374 14', the stingray is a 1996, it's cables are newer and the motor is racing with them. My question is I need the older 377374 cables but long enough for the 17' boat so what model numbers would I look for to order the correct cables

and once you get the right cable of the right length installed, you still need to adjust it.

I ordered the cable from Ebay. Do they come with the end fittings or would they need to be ordered seperately

Any pictures ?----If the control on the 96 boat is an OMC control it may just need adjustment.----Without pictures it is difficult to advise on what you need to do.

Throttle cable question

I have a 1978 Johnson 70hp motor model # 70EL78C. I ordered a throttle cable from Ebay (#377374), it came without the fittings. My question is where came II get those fittings since the motor is so old (but runs really great)
