Johnson V-6 block oiling?

I have a 1984 Johnson 185Hp J185TLCRS. In 2 of the block main bearing saddles there are brass orifices pressed into the block. They terminate or originate in cylinder #1 and #3. I'm sure they have an affect on the oiling. What occurs if they aren't working or get blocked completely? Are they serviceable? I don't find anything listed in the parts books until 1987. Thank You.
