johnson waterpump question

Replacing water pump.

What type of glue should be used to glue the stainless cup into the water pump housing? Video said refer to manufacturer, my shop manual did not state what type of glue. I have read that Scotch weld 847 is a good choice, are there others?


Motor is a 1989 Johnson 100HP J100STLCEM

I use Permatex Aviation gasket cement on my Johnny waterpump. That is the generic version of the OEM stuff recommended in the OEM service manual.
