Johson 115-1993 Oil spouts

My 1993 Johnson 115 HP spouts a very fine stream of oil out the top. Just replaced the fuel hose and squeeze bulb and when it cranked up we noticed a fine squirt of oil out the top near where the little valve stem sticks up just above center front of motor. How do I repair this?

If that valve stem is red, you can replace it. Probably has a crack in it. Happens to these valves. It's called a maint valve and any John/Rude dealer carries them with instructions for replacement.

Thanks OBJ- Just as you said. It was the little red Maint. valve cracked. I finally read about in the book and replaced it with no leaks now. Caution to those that will put one in. There is a correct procedure written instuctions with the valve to install. Follow these instructions.
