some of you may remember my story of using dolphinite's new clear bottom paint. long story short, it was defective and my bottom became covered in growth. i lost approx 2 months boating time, spent several weeks repairing my hull, and repainted. boat is now fine. never recevied any recourse from the company, which admits the paint is defective (see www.dolphinte.com ). i've logged my complaints on their website, but have never received a single response. no emails or phone calls have been returned. i don't like the fact that dolphinite seems to be passing the blaim to the manufacturer of the paint (yet still refuses to even respond). my questions:

1. i'm ready to send a certified letter to dolphinte asking for minor compensation to cover cost of the paint, my labor, and two months boating loss. is this a good first step?

2. there is a class action suit (actually several) that has been filed. should i jump on the wagon?

3. with numerous suits filed, if i don't follow choices 1 or 2, will my own suit be worth the trouble?

thanks-
