I'm looking for a cheap jon boat with a trailer. Something I can get around on local reservoirs with. A motor does not need to be included as long as I can throw a nice trolling motor on it and get around the reservoir with atleast a 600 lb person capacity. Looking for good deals online. My price range is about 3k max. I'm talking like brand new from factory, not craigslist, etc...

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

factory new on trailer for $3k.

aint going to happen, however it will be close

best you can do is check out your local Lowe dealer https://www.loweboats.com/jon-boats/ as they have probably the lowest prices I know of for a simple fishing rig

they also have a 12' utility fishing boat that starts at $3k

I was lookin at the L1852MT earlier. It's pictured with the trailer. Not too sure if it comes with it though.

your going to have to go to your local Lowe dealer. they may have a 2016 or 2017 sitting on the lot as the 2018's are coming in.

Check around for slightly used rig....folks sometime buy a small Jon boat thinking they'll use it and then lose interest and sell the rig for a cheap price....and aluminum Jon boats don't generally age very much or not at all.....mine's a 1999 model and still just like I bought it...

If you are willing to take a used setup, you can get boat, motor and trailer for that amount. Yes craigslist or even boat trader are where a lot of such setups are listed. But is you are willing to do a little clean up effort, you can easily get a setup for that amount. JMHO

Local sporting goods store in my area has a 15' Alumacraft (775lb capacity) and trailer for right in that $3k range. Nothing fancy, but they seem like decent little rowboats.

A very well known outdoor outfitting company near me has aluminum boats and jons for what seemed like pretty good prices. I never could find them on their website but they have half a dozen of each at the actual store every time I go.

Thanks for the replies everyone, after a lot of searching I've found a used sea nymph I'm going to look at tomorrow. It seems perfect for what I wanted and in the budget.

From what I understand they sea nymph boats seem pretty durable.
