JONBOAT/CANOE

I am heading north on a moose hunt.We will be floating a river,and possably heading up creeks over beaver dams to hunt the sloughs behind them.What is the best choice- a 12-14 aluminum jonboat, or a squareback canoe with a small our board?[ 18'grumman]There will be 2 or 3 of us in the boat.

Both. Use the boat. Tow the canoe with extra gear, and a place to put the moose.<br /><br />If you can only take one, take the boat--14' . It has twice the space and 4 times the stability.
