Can someone check me on our boat project. We do not know the year or model. Here are some photos.

We did a few mods. Biggest being we converted it to a jet drive. The photos show a 140 HP inline Chevy. That was too front heavy (due to mounted location). We also had too much trouble with it as it was a 140 HP high-compression forklift engine (for sale by the way). We recently mounted a V6 Chevy with 220 HP. It's so fast that it's scary :)

Anyway, do you all think we also have a mid-60 Jupiter?

I moved this post out of another thread. This deserved it's own. Cool project!!! I'm watching the video now.

Nice job, that thing really scoots around:D

It does look like a 60s Jupiter with that curved windshield.

They weren't making them in the factory back in those days with jet drives.;)

Welcome to iboats:)

You did some great work. Gives me some insight into how my 74 jet was put together. Hopefully I'll get it restored in the next 20 years and see how well it goes. What type jet drive do you have? I've got an eliminator pump not boat with a 350 chevy. Supposed to do over 60, but I don't think I'd have much luck fishin at that speed.
