you cannot lie to a Grand Jury--a jury found him guilty of that and convicted him--end of story.
And that's all they found him guilty of.

Exactly Rubber!! Now please go back and read the paper you would not wipe the MIL's butt with. I fixed the linc, and you will be very surprized at what the ol' WP said!! JR8)8)8)

Quote Crunch

Did you get that Haut? Plame wasn't covert, she was a deck jockey, had been for 6 years or so... so why would any conversation Libby had, that referred to her, stick in his mind?

O there lots of proof that she was covert, if anybody cares to look, I’ve got a folder full.

Plus you might look at what the judge didn't allow the prosecution to enter ,that is really interesting.:$

<<also said "my wife was not a clandestine officer the day that Bob Novak blew her identity."
In an interview Friday, Wilson said his comment was meant to reflect that his wife lost her ability to be a covert agent because of the leak, not that she had stopped working for the CIA beforehand.
His wife's "ability to do the job she's been doing for close to 20 years ceased from the minute Novak's article appeared; she ceased being a clandestine officer," he said.>>

Tree, Fitzgerald knew Richard Armitage "leaked" Plames identity from the very beginning... did he bust him?.... NO... now ask yourself, why is that?

Haut made up his mind before the jury was even picked, so as far as I'm concerned, what he says is meaningless... sorry Haut. :p

Just out....

LIBBY JUROR: PARDON HIM
Wed Mar 07 2007 19:21:48 ET

MSNBC host Chris Matthews spoke with Libby juror Ann Redington on HARDBALL. Juror [#10] says she would support a Bush pardon for Libby.

Transcript:

Chris: You're for a pardon out of sympathy for the defendant.

Ann: Yeah, I think in the big picture, um, it kind of bothers me that there was this whole big crime being investigated and he got caught up in the investigation as opposed to in the actual crime that was supposedly committed.

Chris: Which is the leaking of a CIA agents name.

Ann: Exactly.

End

Developing...

I don't think anyone ever told the jury that no crime had been committed...... Hmmmm. :|

They told 'em Crunch, n' the jury were very sharp people (from what I read), but that is MSM who do slant things from time to time. Moral of this whole story: take any Federal prosecuter in DC real serious. Fitzgerald has a very good track record n' leaves no stone unturned. Libby was a FOOL for not hiring a TOP DC lawyer right out of the hole, (prior to his testamony not: after he is charged, which is what I understand he did). He is a millionare, so he could afford the very best. Respectfully, JR

Quote Richard Armitage

<<He told CBS that the special counsel investigating the leak, Patrick Fitzgerald, "asked me not to discuss this, and I honored his request.
>>"

Don’t know why he was not indicted, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it comes down to the fact the he cut a deal of some kind (see above quote). This you can be assured of, it will come out, possibly in the next month.

Now my turn to ask a question, wonder why Libby didn’t testify after his attorney assured the Judge that he would Hmmm?

Probably Libbys attorney didn't think it was necessary.... what's your point?

As for Armitage cutting some kind of deal.... get real! If Fitzgerald had any kind of case for prosecution against Armitage, he would have gone for it like a Bass with a wounded frog in the waters.

Instead, after finding there was no crime, Fitzgerald went on a fishing expedition to see if someone in the Administration (and he called many before the Grand Jury and FBI) could be confused or mistaken about what, who, or when they said what to or when.... all he found was poor ol' Scooter who didn't take this whole "witch hunt" seriously until he was indited... I mean think about it.

Here we have a millionaire who could afford any high priced Lawyer on the planet.... and he didn't get one until he was indited.... does this sound like a man that had a guilty conscience?... who thought he had done anything wrong?

This is pure partisan BS politics, and the Democrats, and the Media should be ashamed of themselves. Ps.... so should any one here that falls for this crap.

Hey Capt'n! Fitzgerald had a rep you and I knew about from way over here on the left coast, (as soon as he was named). Would you have faced him without seasoned council, regardless of your level of confidence?? Mr Libby is a fool. N' I'm a Cornservative, not partial to Lib positions! JR 8) ps Partisan politics in DC? Really? Biased MSM? Nah, ya gotta be kiddin'! Come on Capt'n he asked for trouble n' got it. I wish it were not so as do you but: facts are facts n' we should quit snivelin' n' whinnin' 8)8)

I'm not snivelin' n' whinnin'... just protesting a grave, and catastrophic failure in our judicial system.

When Federal prosecutors start going beyond their mandate just to claim the lime-light, or validate a partisan position.... not to mention the damage done to the right of a reporter to withhold a source, we are going down a very slippery slope...

But no matter, it will be appealed, Libby will most likely be exonerated, and if not.... President Bush will pardon him before he ever sees the inside of a "free Hotel" :p

Cut the Mods some slack, they have a tough job and we don't make it any easier for them.... by a long shot.

Let me know if you are going to be down this way.... I'm sure with adequate time to plan, I can find some way for you to catch the crabs. :p

Some truth to being a fall guy. And minion in the wrong place.
Sorry about not putting the :) :) :) in last night.
But you took it as I meant it.

Now who are we going to vote for in 08?

The Dems have nothing on the platter.
Two racists, but maybe a white woman and a black male might work? Look out Bill! :)
Naw, besides Dems eat their own to get to the top.

The reps, Rudy? Who is a gun control freak and dances with Gays?
That might make a good movie? ;)
