I did that and it is not spinning. I also took the sea water pump cover off and turned it over. and the impeller does not spin. I am confident that the pulley has sheared a pin, or at least as confident as I can be without pulling the Pulley off. some other questions that I had are should there be any play at all in the distributor shaft. when grabing the shaft with the cap off, the distributor has just a tiny bit of play, is that ok? I am trying to think of reasons why the pulley may have sheared the key or pin. Also I was having trouble taking the impeller out, I didnt try hard, but I just grabbed it with a pair of plyers and gave it a little tug and it didn't move at all. have not even looked at the book for that yet, still trying to figure out why the shaft is not spinning, could something wrong with the impeller cause enough problem to cause the pin to shear?
