Is my drive a pre-alpha, MR, or Alpha. Serial # is 3512779. I have the clymers manual, I know big piece of *#&$@ but it was free and it actually helped a little. Thanks guys.
Sorry about that. Bare with me here and humur me if you would as this boat history is quit shady. The Title to the boat itself says 1973. The engine does not look like a 73 just because of the outwear being in such relitivley great shape. The valve cover says Mercruiser 120/140, It is a inline 4. Hope this helps. Like I said the boat history is very difficult to trace down. I have had it now for two seasons. I have done a lot to it but have never really been 100% sure of its genre.
Luckily my job is rather laid back. I am pretty much my own boss and have the luxury of researching while working. Any how so this is alpha 1, correct?

Getting an old boat has really increased my overall mechanical ability that is for sure. Not to mention this site.
