Those oldest nissans (especially datsuns) are getting super rare and expensive... that aside, I always wanted a 300zx 2+2... cool cars.. I bet a mint one with low miles would be worth 20 to 30g in a few years

That's what I am hoping for, a low mileage original 70 Datsun 240Z just sold for and ridicules $300K. I have owned a 280Z, 280ZX and 4 300ZXs that I have driven. Drove the first 2 as daily drivers logged well over 150K miles between them, Then finally bought a really nice white with red 87 That was going to be my toy keeper. Plans changed when a mechanic who was repairing the car for failed NJ state inspections totaled it. That was 20 years ago. Wow I am old. That's how I ended up with number 4. Going out for a curies with a friend who has 2 Zs

This is my deal, I had 35 chevelles and who knows how many camaros and firebirds. I was buy em and break em in the gas crisis years. Then chevelles shot up in price. I moved on to camaros and firebirds. Then they did it and I got a motorcycle.

For ever I didn't have one. I had given up on them. They cost a fortune for a POS junker.

Well my brother had a 68 my car in high school my color. I just came home from the west coast. He backed it out. He had sold it. 427 4 speed posi. He looked me in the eye and said don't you want just one more.

I guess I did.

I got the one I got as a basket case. Then I went to asia had a kid got married. Came home bought the house and raised this boy. I been tinkerin on it all along. She is my last muscle car I am sure. The dream car. All the options and things I wanted in all those patina cars I had most of my life.

I hot rodded my safari van she is my driver, I like beating mustangs in the soccer mom van. I got 4wds I play with now.

The boat I always wanted one. Just life kept getting in the way, I got this one because it had to go to get the one my brother bought. So I fixed her and a real happy with it.

The chevelle is my personal show car. I enjoy it just sitting there being perfect. 496 4 speed with a OD and a eaton pro seiries posi. 373 gear. Power steering power brakes and A/C. It is almost complete now.

Now I hang on the boat forum and watch the siren sing and catch men to bring them to the sea. As she has done to me.

Soon I will be on the river at the crack of dawn listening to the radio, snacking and fishing,

I've had 2. A 300 and this 71 240 my uncle got brand new. I was offered 7gs in this condition for it. After the boat floats it's getting a rehab too! It's setup for a 280 turbo, 5 sp tranny with the turbo posi rear end.

Thats a sweet car looks pretty solid. Here in the rust belt they all rotted away. The ZX turbo engine should make it go great. Mine go a new home with the sale of the Satellite, should help it stay nice for years to come.

Well I still haunt here.

I been on a prop buying spree since I left. Shopping the ideal for my boat prop. I have the 17 stainless it came with. I got the power2 shifting prop. I got the 19 stainless from Micky. I ran a 21 4 blade last summer. That is the cruising prop of the olympics. 6% slip all the way through the range. It just wont pull the extra blade on top end.

I found the boats sweet spot at the moment. A 20 pitch 3 blade aluminum. It is in the motors sweet spot on the tach about 4600-4700 range. GPS reported high speed was 42 MPH. It is faster out of the hole better acceleration all the way. Peppier just happier boat with the 3 blade. Its cruise speed it has more slip. Best all around for my boat and boating style.

So with the added weight I put in it rebuilding it. The massive amount of gear I always haul. And 2 heavy passengers. It is doing the speed it should empty, no gear with a 110 lb crackhead doing the testing for Four Winns. So I am happy with it.

There is a tree in the river from the flood. Blocking the channel. I wish the barge would need to get by and take that out.
