Just Bought a 1962 starcraft 15ft

hi, im new to the sight i just bought a 1962 15ft starcraft with a 1976 chysler 55hp motor. im going to try and restor it to as origanal as possible. i have all the chrome pieces but most have like demples in them does anyone know a good way to get rif of these or a web site that sells replacements.... ill post pics tom it dark out know so tehy wont be verygood.

Pete welcome to iboats ( after the pics we'll let ya in the club . The only rel way to get rid of the pitting is to take them to a chrome shop and have them redone so some pics of the parts in question will help us help you decide wether to have them replated or just replce them .

Welcome Pete,
There are several of us doing the same thing on here. I have a 61 and most of the chrome had been pitted as well. I also have to round up a couple more items, but you can find them on the "net" a lot of the time. The ones you can't find or if you really want the original pieces you'll have to bring them to a chrome shop. The more work they have to do on them the more it will cost though.
At any rate, welcome and as they say around here "...pictures...lots of pictures..."

ok so pics are not working lol does anyone know what i can do they are theying my image isnt the right size. mine are 300kb and the cant be bigger then 97.7kb

Pete when you click the post reply icon and the new window opens there is an icon just above where you are typing that looks like Mountains with the sun above them . What I do is open my photo bucket and the post I am posting in 2 differant window . hover your mouse over your picture on photo bucket and a drop down window will appear go down to the bottom option IMG code and leftclick to highlight then right click and click on copy. Once you have done this come back to the window with your new post click on the mountain icon it will open up a new small window ( hit backspace to remove the HTTP from it then right click in the test box and hit paste then click ok . One other thing you can do multiple images but you need to hit enter a couple times between each image and also after any text or things will get jumbled . Should look like this when your done only your boat .

there are several projects going on as we speak so there is a wealth of knowledge here. i highly suggest checking out north beach's resto in the completed projects forum.
