Just bought a 93 48spl

Does the fuel line require 2 hoses (1fuel- 1 air). Just got the engine but the fuel tank and hoses don't fit. Is there an on line manual available? I'm very experienced with 2 stroke motorcycles but new to the outboards. Motor going on a 21 ft pontoon boat.

dual lines ended around 1960 's

if you got a dual line tank ???? keep it if it his not leaking... parts are rare and in demand the motor side hose connector may be worth 50-75$ US you can sell it to a guy who needs one.

The 48 SPL models did not come with oil injection.----Other 1993 model might have oil injection.--Therefor 2 hoses., one for oil and one for gasoline.-----Good question if oil injection was fitted on that motor.------Pictures of the parts are needed.----Visit your friendly boat shop and ask questions.
