just bought today need info

i just bought a mariner 20hp today never had a merc or mariner before. i believe it is an 86 but i am having trouble understanding the charts to know for sure. if anyone could tell me if there is a good website for parts and upgrades i would appreciate it. i would like to hook it up to my remote steer if possible and elec start would be nice but not a must. after that i just need to know where to get parts if needed. i forgot to add the serial # ob115325

Does the Mariner you bought today have a tiller or is it set up to accept a remote control? Do you have a remote and if so, what kind?

when i was little my dad had an 80's model mariner 28hp and had it set up for stick steering so you should be able to find something for it.

the mariner is a tiller, the boat is remote steer. hopefully by what kind you mean that it is a steering wheel with steering rod if you need a pic i can take one. the gentleman i bought it from said he thought it might have had remote steer hooked up or electric trim. i willl take pics of all of it so you can seee what i am working with
